We all know how the arrowverse crossover episodes are the important turning points of all the 3 shows involved – Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl. Cashing in on this are the makers, who have been releasing details in a calculated fashion to ensure that the buzz is still alive when the episodes are telecast.

The three-night event will begin with The Flash, 8 pm, followed by Arrow and Supergirl on December 9 and 11, respectively, Deadline reported. This year, the Legends of Tomorrow team is out and focussing on their own storyline. Also, The Flash will have finished its mid-season finale and 100th episode before the crossover kicks-off.

What's more is Batwoman will be introduced in one of the three episodes. "This is the first time ever that she will make a live-action appearance on any screen," network president Mark Pedowitz told Comicbook.com.

While a section of DC Comics fans were thrilled about the news, there were people didn't appreciate the network's decision to cast Ruby Rose in the role. She was called out by internet trolls who believed she wasn't "lesbian" enough to play the character. This was followed by Rose's exit from social media platforms.

So, what to expect from this massive event? Some fans have expressed shock over the fact that it's endgame for Flash; that he's going to die in one of the Crisis on Infinite Earths episodes. Does this mean the show is likely to come to an end? Well, we'd like to stay positive.

There are quite a few Earths in the multiverse than we'd like to imagine and even if Flash is killed off, the team could import one from one of the other Earths. Just how did for H. R. Wells' characters. Spoiler: This year too Tom Cavanagh will be playing a different HR.

In other news, we are yet to know what these superheroes are up against. None of the antagonists of the said shows have been confirmed yet. The Flash will apparently take down Cicada, Rag Doll, King Shark and Grodd. Whereas, Oliver Queen will spend most of his time tackling prison inmates he put away during his term as Star City mayor. There's been no word on Supergirl's villain yet.
