New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, on Wednesday called for focused attention on strengthening infrastructure and building capacity for the paramilitary forces, as he lauded the personnel for maintaining law and order and controlling internal disturbances and insurgencies across the nation. Singh said this as he laid the foundation stone of Central Armed Police Forces Institute of Medical Sciences (CAPFIMS) in New Delhi. The Institute will not only have a multi-speciality hospital but also a medical college, two separate institutes of nursing and paramedical, a residential campus for students and doctors, an air ambulance unit and a 24x7 mobile hospital unit for the troops of central forces. Singh also said that the paramilitary forces deployed in some of the most difficult places have been successful in preventing trans-border crimes.
