New Delhi/Kolkata, Dec 19 (ANI): Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde on Thursday said that the government had sought assistance from the law department in preparing a Presidential reference for removal of former Supreme Court judge AK Ganguly, accused of sexually harassing a law intern, from the post of West Bengal Human Right Commission Chairperson. Shinde stated that his ministry had already sent the papers to the law department. Explaining the legal procedures that have to be followed to impeach Ganguly, the chairman of national commission for human rights, K G Balakrishnan, said that he can only be removed after a presidential reference is sent to the apex court.
