Barely a couple of days after the unveiling of Google's next generation Nexus 7, the search engine giant is reportedly planning to release the tablet PC in India soon.

In a surprise turn of event, the Indian arm of Google on Thursday has listed the new Nexus 7 tablet on its official online store 'Google Play' with a tag 'Coming Soon'. This is sure to bring cheers to Indian Nexus fans, considering the fact that Google had released the previous generation Nexus 7 device in India in late March 2013, almost eight months after its global unveiling in July 2012.

If the new Nexus 7 tablet is released in the coming days, Google might face a major repercussion. The tablet may cannibalize sales of its older sibling which hit Indian market less than a few months ago.

The new generation Nexus 7 is the second device released by a joint venture by Google and Taiwanese technology major Asus. They had reaped huge success from Nexus 7(first generation) all round the globe.

The new tablet boasts of the world's highest display resolution in its class (7.0-inch devices). It sports a IPS LCD screen with full HD 1080x1920p display resolution having pixel density of 323 ppi (pixels per inch).

Another mentionable attribute of new Nexus 7 is that it is the first device to ship with latest Android v4.3 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the box. In terms of hardware, it packs 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor paired with 400MHz Adreno 320 graphics engine. It is said to come with 2GB RAM and 16 GB/32GB storage space.

The new Nexus 7 will hit retail stores initially in the US on 30 July for $299 (₹13,500) and later in other global markets.
