"The Good Wife" season 7 will deliver a roller-coaster premiere with some unexpected changes in Alicia Florrick's (Julianna Margulies) life at 9pm on Sunday, 4 October. The first episode of CBS drama titled "Bond" will show the protagonist struggling with her law career and its impact on her life.

"I think Alicia might have a drinking problem. She's lonely. And I think wine is numbing her out a little bit. And I think that's something we might address in Season 7," teased Margulies during an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, according to TV Line.

Meanwhile, Christine Baranski teased that the wife of Peter Florrick will never back up from her decision to be a good lawyer. "Because of the political scandal she was involved in, with all the recounted votes, and her reputation tainted, now she's trying to get back to a more essential part of her being, which is just really loving the law," she told Deadline.

The actress even teased an internal turmoil for Lockhart Agos Lee and stated that Louis Canning (Michael J. Fox) will always "lurk in the shadows, wreaking havoc".

The official synopsis premiere titled "Bond" read: "Alicia attempts to revive her struggling law career by representing arrestees seeking release on bail in bond court, where she meets attorney Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo), who competes for her clients".

Additionally, the first episode will also feature Margo Martindale as Peter's national strategist Ruth Eastman. The character will help him with his presidential campaign and create an interesting dynamic with Eli in the process.

CBS will air "The Good Wife" season 7 premiere titled "Bond" at 9pm on Sunday, 4 October.
