"The Good Wife" will finally take viewers to Alicia Florrick's (Julianna Margulies) big decision in its upcoming episode titled "Oppo Research".

One of the most anticipated American legal drama series resumed itself with Eli Gold (Alan Cumming) convincing Alicia to run for State's Attorney when the show returned on CBS with Season 6. But the TV world did not get to see much about State's Attorney in the last three episodes of the series.

Previous episodes of the legal drama revolved around Cary's (Matt Czuchry) arrest and Diane's (Christine Baranski) decision to leave Lockhart/Gardner. However, the next episode of "The Good Wife" is about the big campaign day wherein Alicia decides to run for State's Attorney.

As per the recently released promotional clip of "Oppo Research", Alicia says, "I'm thinking of running for state's attorney." Meantime, the teaser also warns the audience that "this beginning could be the end of hers."

Does this mean that Alicia will have to face several personal and professional challenges once she decides to run for State's Attorney?

Previously, "The Good Wife" co-creator Robert King revealed that Alicia will have bigger battlefield in season 6. As per some of the spoilers, the new challenge for Alicia could be her estranged husband Peter Florrick (Chris Noth).

In a 53-second-long clip, Peter is shown expressing his disagreement on Eli's decision and asks him to find another familiar face to run for State's Attorney but not his wife.

If Alicia is successfully elected to run the office, Eli will have to struggle to keep the Florricks married since the State's Attorney and the Governor of Illinois will have conflicts of interest. This may result in the end of Peter and Alicia's marriage, stated Bustle.

Meanwhile, Steven Pasquale will appear in the upcoming season of "The Good Wife" as Jonathan Elfman, a campaign manager for Alicia, reported CarterMatt.

The official synopsis of "The Good Wife" season 6 episode 4 reads, "When Alicia agrees to further explore the option of running for State's Attorney, Eli brings a respected campaign manager into the fold to help her decide once and for all."
