Producer Ritesh Sidhwani sent Shah Rukh Khan's fans into a tizzy with one of the much-awaited announcements of the year. In his tweet, he urged social media users to wait for another 48 hours, after which Raees trailer release date, time and location will be revealed.
He wrote: #RaeesTrailer date time place official announcement coming soon.. stay tuned for next 48 hours..luv
This comes a few days after Khan confirmed that the makers are trying to put together a marketing strategy and soon the Raees trailer will be out. Although the superstar didn't give a date, he did say it was due sometime in December.
"It's ready, edited and censored. We are just trying to formulate a plan to market it. There's a way we want to launch it. So we just want to get the technical part of it right," DNA quoted the actor as saying.
This is probably the first time any film has delayed this much; the Raees teaser was released on July 16, 2015. Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees was scheduled to be released alongside Salman Khan's Sultan on July 6 this year, but SRK decided against it. He felt a few action sequences could have been done better.
"Jab hum shoot kar rahe the, mujhko yaar chot lagi hui thi, saari film kuch 8-9 mahine delay ho gayi. Phir humne action kiya, but thode pieces phir bhi reh gaye. Humne kar liya woh sab kuch lekin mujhe aisa laga ki uss chot ki wajah se waisa nahi hua jaisa mei chahta tha. Lekin ab khatam ho chuki hain. Woh jaldbaazi mei, bhagam daud mei ho raha tha to hum sabne decide kiya," he told BollywoodLife earlier this year.
Raees will now release on January 26, same day as Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil.
