Though the Golden State Warriors may have clinched the Playoff spot from the Western Conference, they would be eager to defeat the Portland Trail Blazers as they travel to Moda Center at the Rose Quarter for the game.
The Warriors have been in huge form throughout the competition, as they have won 37 matches so far and only lost 13 games, which has helped them maintain their number one position in the standings table.
Their opponents Trail Blazers have been impressive with 44 wins and 22 losses. They are currently in the fourth position, but are yet to seal a Playoffs berth.
But, the Trail Blazers need to change their fortunes when they face Warriors as the Blazers have slumped in form with four losses on a trot. They need to get back to their winning ways and secure their berth.
The Blazers have their task cut out against a team who have been in a six match winning streak and have also only lost once in their last 10 outings.
The Warriors need to thank Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, who have been in amazing form throughout the season so far. Curry has been averaging an impressive 23.3 points per game, while Thompson has been on the same level with 21.7 points per game this season.
If these players play in a similar manner for the remainder of the season and the Playoffs, one would take something really special to keep the duo quiet who have been putting great performances on a consistent basis.
Players like Draymond Green has also played an important role for the Warriors during the season.
The Warriors thrashed the Washington Wizards today, 107-76.
"We enjoy every night,"Warriors coach Steve Kerr told the team's official website. "I think part of the magic of this team is just having fun. There's a lot of joy in that locker room from one night to the next. We don't pay attention to our record."
Though, they might not play for the record, but they have been creating a lot of problems for their opponents on the court.
The Trail Blazers lost their last against the Grizzlies with the score reading, 86-97.
It is high time for the Warriors to pick up a victory and get them going in the season, though, there are not many matches left to play in the regular season.
