After their loss to Houston Rockets, Golden State Warriors got back into their winning ways, defeating Phoenix Suns. Now, the Warriors will be keen to come up with a similar game against Indiana Pacers at Oracle Arena in Oakland on Monday.
The Warriors have only suffered three losses this season, and their last loss against Rockets was not a bad one. They played well but lost in OT, which should even spur them on to play even much better to remain at the top of the western conference, where they currently stand.
The NBA 2016 finalists have looked a solid team on both sides of the floor and the developing chemistry between Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant is a great sign. They are only 20 matches into the season, and they will be even more dangerous as the season moves ahead.
Durant has adjusted quite nicely after making his move from Oklahoma City Thunder to Warriors, scoring some important points and that too quite consistently. Durant has been their best player, as far as points are concerned as he averages 27.3 ppg followed by Curry at 26.9. It is their offensive combination, which has been a talking point.
Besides the duo, Klay Thompson with his sharp shooting and Draymond Green in defense still remain to be the team to beat in the western conference.
Now, the Pacers, who have a 10-10 win-loss record this season, have to get their A game against Warriors, who are keen to pick up some straight wins and strengthen their position at the top. The Pacers have their back to the walls against such a star-packed line-up, but the visitors also have some stars in their line-up capable of making life miserable for Warriors.
The Pacers will look for the services of Paul George and Jeff Teague, who are quality players in their ranks. If the two can score some big points for the Pacers, the visitors could trouble the Warriors.
