Gold Hued HTC One Variant Pops up on Chinese Website

Buoyed by the impressive response for the HTC One smartphone, Taiwanese company HTC is reportedly planning to launch a gold hued variant in the coming days.

A user on Chinese social network 'Sina Weibo' posted a gold coloured HTC One model online, showing the front panel and the inside of the phone. But there was no image of the handset's back panel.

Even though the photos give very little information, many tech blogs believe that the new gold coloured variant is still a possibility considering the fact the Chinese user was right about the blue hued HTC One model, which went public just a few days ago. The company had unveiled the flagship HTC One in February with two colour variants - black and silver. It has released two more colour models in Glamour Red and Vivid Blue. To further cash in on HTC One's success, the company also unveiled the 4.3-inch HTC One Mini. So, it won't come as a surprise if HTC releases a gold hued model in the near future.

The original HTC One sports a 4.7-inch Super LCD 3 screen with 1920x1080p display resolution and has a pixel density of close to 468 ppi (pixels per inch). It runs on Android v4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 series quad-core processor with 1.7GHz CPU speed with 2GB Ram and 32GB internal memory.

It houses an innovative 2.1-UltraPixel camera on the rear which gives clear and crisp high-quality images under a low-light environment.
