'Gold digger, toxic': Akanksha Chamola trolled after saying she preferred her dog over Gaurav Khanna's Lock Upp visit

With each passing day, the show Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa is getting more dramatic than ever. During a conversation with co-contestant Shreya Kalra, Akanksha Chamola said that her estranged husband Gaurav Khanna's surprise appearance on the show didn't make her happy. She added that she would have felt more comfortable if her parents or even her dog had come instead.

Akanksha shared that while she appreciated the gesture, she would have found more comfort in seeing a family member, or even her dog, than Gaurav. She added, "Usse (Gaurav) zyada mujhe family mein se koi aata to better tha" (I wish someone from my family had come). When Shreya asked why, Akanksha said, "I wanted my comfort, na. Basically, more for me than for him. I would have preferred agar meri mummy ya papa koi aate, ya mera kutta hi aa jata" (I would have preferred it if my mother or father had come, or even my dog).

This statement has not gone down well with Gaurav's fans, who have been slamming her on social media. A netizen tweeted, "#AkankshaChamola Ab naam lena band karo #GauravKhanna ka. Uske alawa tumhara koi game nahi. #LockUpp2 mein vulgar content ke alawa diya kya hai? Sirf personal baate batane ayi thi yeh."

Another X user wrote, "#AkankshaChamola why did u go for fame in #BB19 house. #GauravKhanna ke bhi maa baap hai, kutta hai. U ko bhej deti. Fame liya Gaurav se, ab drama karogi? Usko neecha dikhaogi? Bangai cool?"

One more netizen tweeted, "#AkankshaChamola Wannabe personality, fame digger, non-diagnosed (straight, left or right). 'Better my dog will come instead of #GauravKhanna.' She is mentally retarted. Enjoy the fame in his name, putting all failure on him. GK plz divorce the bimbo dumb girl. #LockUpp2."

During the premiere episode of Lock Upp, Akanksha had shared her secret that she and Gaurav are heading for a divorce. It shocked everyone, as just last year, Chamola had appeared as a guest on Bigg Boss 19 to support Khanna.

Akanksha has been one of the most candid contestants on Lock Upp. When she entered the show, she revealed that she and Gaurav were getting divorced and had been living separately for a year, while adding that there was no bitterness between them. She had said, "There is nothing bad between Gaurav and me. We still talk to each other, but we feel that we are not right for each other as partners. That is because we both want different things in life."

Later in the show, Akanksha also revealed that she is bisexual and had been in relationships with women before marrying Gaurav. Amid these revelations, Gaurav entered the show as her visitor, and Akanksha became teary-eyed on seeing him. He also clarified that he and Akanksha are not legally divorced.

The episode also featured Vinny and Dheeraj's emotional reunion, along with a light-hearted but revealing exchange between Shreya, Shilpa and Akanksha, once again drawing attention to Akanksha's relationship with Gaurav.
