Ahead of the Season 2 finale, "Girl Meets World" is going on yet another break, much to the chagrin of fans. They only relish in the fact that the taping for Season 3 has already begun, and it will premiere in spring of 2016.
The Season 2 finale, titled "Girl Meets Legacy", is going to focus on gratitude and respect. The Twitter feed of "Girl Meets World" writers had posted: "Next: Our season finale. What is the best thing to leave to the people who have taught you? You show them they have helped you grow. Legacy. (sic)"
The finale will also touch upon Corey's (Ben Savage) parenting skills and his role as a teacher in the lives of Riley (Rowan Blanchard), Maya (Sabrina Carpenter), Lucas (Peyton Meyer) and Farkle (Corey Fogelmanis). It is understood that "Girl Meets Legacy" will also see the return of Uncle Josh aka Uncle Boing (Uriah Shelton).
It would be interesting to see how his return will affect Maya's feelings for Lucas. After all, this is the question that is keeping every fan awake at night: Rucas or Lucaya? In one of the promo photos from the episode, Maya was seen spiritedly hugging Josh.
Considering she already proved to him she has more than a schoolgirl crush on him, he, too, may be reconsidering the "age gap" excuse for not dating her. In that case, Rucas might become a reality.
Meanwhile, the curtain call from the taping of Season 3 has been shared on YouTube by many members in the audience. Zay (Amir Mitchell Townes) and Smackle (Cecilia Balagot) are certainly in the next season, but they may not be in the opening credits just yet.
However, most fans seem to agree that while Zay is probability going to appear in every episode of Season 3, Smackle may just become more present, rather than a regular cast member.
The line-up also saw new cast members Ashley Argota, who will play Nikki Claudia, Lee, who will play Francesca, and Luke Benward, who will play Thor. They are all expected to be high school seniors of Riley and friends.
