China-based Gionee on Monday launched a new smartphone P7 in India. It is the generic version of P7 Max, which was released in October.
Gionee P7 flaunts glass cover with ribbed texture on the back with metal-based frame around the edges. On the front, it sports a 5.0-inch HD IPS screen.
Under-the-hood, it houses a 1.3GHz quad-core processor backed by 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory and 2,300mAh battery, which can last for close to 259 hours under standby mode.
It also comes equipped with 8MP primary camera with LED flash on the back and a 5MP snapper with screen flash feature to capture good quality selfies in low-light conditions.
"The Gionee P7, our latest Smartphone is a figure of strength and performance. With 4G picking up pace in the country and increasing internet penetration that is motivating multimedia usage, we have enhanced our already diverse 4G product portfolio with Gionee P7 which is designed to offer next generation experience to our consumers,"Deepika Singh, Director – Marketing Communications, Gionee India, said in a statement.
Gionee P7 series availability and price details:
Gionee P7 comes in gold, grey and white colour options for Rs. 9,999. It has been made available on both brick-and-mortar shops and e-stores in India starting today.
Going by the specs-sheet, Gionee P7 will have a tough time convincing buyers considering the fact the rival brands such as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Lenovo K6 Power and the Moto G4 Play, which fall in the same price-range, boast better hardware.
