Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has reportedly released a new handset dubbed as Marathon M3 in India.
The tentatively titled Marathon M3 houses a high-capacity 5000 mAh battery, which the company claims can run for up to 51 hours of talk time and close to 32.8 days under standby mode. No other smartphone in the market boasts this specification as yet.
The new Gionee phone priced ₹13,499 also boasts of 5.0-inch HD IPS screen and ships with Android 4.4 KitKat OS, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 128GB), 8.0-megapixel main camera and a 2.0-megapixel snapper on the front.
As of now, it is currently made available on eBay India, but there is no official word on when Marathon M3 will be released on other online stores and brick-and-mortar shops across the country.
The new Gionee Marathon M3 will be up against the popular Motorola Moto G, Asus Zenfone 5, Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, Sony Xperia E3, Lumia 730, LG G Bello, Xiaomi Redmi 1S, Micromax Canvas Nitro, the recently launched Lava Iris Fuel 50 and other domestic brands.
