Chinese smartphone maker Gionee's midrange smartphone CTRL V5 has silently made its debut in India via the company's online store.
Priced at ₹12,999, the CTRL V5 smartphone is available for purchase at the brand's India store and currently only the Black variant of the handset is listed on the website. Gionee CTRL V5 smartphone, the successor to the company's CTRL V4 smartphone, sports 4.7-inch (540x960 pixels) qHD IPS display. Inside, it packs 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582V) processor paired with a Mali 400 GPU, and 1GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box OS.
The handset houses 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, 2-megapixel front-facing camera and 1800mAh battery, which promises to deliver up to 14.5 hours of talk time and up to 324 hours of standby time on 2G. On the connectivity front, Gionee CTRL V5 supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPS and Bluetooth and it comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable by upto 32 GB via microSD. The device measures 134.5x67.7x8.07mm, weighs 103.5 grams and will compete with the Moto G in the country.
Earlier in April , Gionee rolled out its octa-core Elife E7 Mini smartphone in India with a price tag of ₹18,999.It sports 4.7-inch IGZO HD (720x1280p) screen and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean with custom UI Amigo OS v2.0. The Elife E7 Mini is powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek Octa-core processor paired with Mali 450MP4 graphics engine, 1GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory and a 2200 mAh battery (non-removable).
