Drama intensifies in Lock Upp 2 as Gaurav Khanna makes a surprise entry into the show as a guest and meets his wife, Akanksha. The promo for the episode has now been dropped online.
Gaurav's meeting with Akanksha comes at a time when she revealed on the show that the two are getting divorced and she will be staying separately after Lock Upp 2. She also shared that she had approached Ram Kapoor for help with future projects.
The promo begins with Gaurav making a cinematic entry while delivering an emotional dialogue: "Ek samandar hai jo kabu mein hai mere. Ek katra hai jo mujhse sambhala nahi jata. Ek umra bitani hai uske bagair. Aur ek lamha hai jo mujhse gujara nahi jata."
"There is an ocean that I can keep under control. Yet, I cannot handle a single drop. I have to spend an entire lifetime without her, but I can't get through even a single moment without her."
Akanksha notices someone entering and says, "Koi to aaya hai." (Has someone come?) As Gaurav walks towards her cell, the house erupts in cheers, and Akansha is seen smiling, and later she starts crying.
Looking at Akanksha, Gaurav says, "Band baja diya tune."
Several users are questioning whether the couple's reported divorce is genuine or part of the show's promotional strategy.
After Akanksha's revelation, Gaurav publicly admitted that he still loves her and will continue to support her. Amid this, the Bigg Boss 19 winner recently entered Lock Upp 2 and had an emotional reunion with his wife.
Akanksha had said, "Me and Gaurav are getting a divorce. We have been living separately for the last one year, and it's not been public. Things are not bad between me and Gaurav. We still talk to each other. We don't think we are compatible as partners because we both see a very different future. And, unfortunately, it's not with each other."
Following Akanksha's revelation about their marriage, Gaurav addressed the media during a public appearance and maintained that his feelings for her had not changed.
He said, "Jo pehle tha wahi haal hai abhi bhi. Pyaar abhi bhi utna hai, support abhi bhi utna hai. Main toh humesha support karunga Akanksha ki. Meri biwi hai yaar. Pyaar kiya toh piche nahi mudunga (What the situation was before, it is the same now. I still love and support her. I will always support Akanksha. She is my wife. I will not turn my back on that)."
