Asansol, Aug 27 (ANI): Two women died and over 30 others were reported sick after inhaling a poisonous gas that leaked from a closed factory in West Bengal. Among the people hospitalised, a child was also critically affected due to the leakage which took place at the abandoned godown of the factory in Asansol city on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Biswajit Ghosh said they have not been able to identify the source of the gas yet as investigation is in process. Gas emanating from the long time closed factory caused severe eye and nose burning and also led to breathing problems within few minutes for the people residing in the nearby area. A fire official in-charge, Samim Yadav said the stinging smell made even the fire officials sick.
