The previous season of Game of Thrones saw Kit Harington's Jon Snow returning from the dead, thanks to Melisandre's magical powers. This has given rise to an interesting theory on who she would bring back next, with quite a number of fans believing that Robb Stark, who died in the Red Wedding in Season 3, is a deserving candidate.

According to a popular theory doing the rounds, Robb will return as Lord Stoneheart. As A Song of Ice and Fire readers already know, author George R. R. Martin brought Catelyn Stark back from the dead as the vengeful Lady Stoneheart, and Game of Thrones fans have been waiting for a similar storyline for a while. But it looks like Robb isnt the lucky one.

"I've not heard anything, of course," Richard Madden, the actor who played Robb Stark, told The Hollywood Reporter about his character's rumoured return.

"I suppose I wouldn't have the phone call, because they're very secretive about everything, unless you get some of the cast drunk and they'll tell you what they are doing."

Madden is a fan of the HBO adaptation of Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, but he is not looking forward to reprising Robb in the future. "Robb Stark had such a great storyline," he said. "Three seasons where he had this great start, middle, and end to his character, and it set up such a great purpose to the show up to that point."

Game of Thrones is currently filming Season 7 and the show will air sometime in the summer of 2017.
