Sunday's episode of "Game of Thrones," titled "The Door," will introduce a new character neamed Kinvara, who is a priestess similar to Melisandre, and photos from the episode show her wearing a red robe and necklace similar to what Carice van Houten's character dons.
The introduction of yet another Red Priestess is not surprising, as R'hllor is an established religion in Westeros. In the trailer for "The Door," Kinvara is seen in the chamber with Tyrion and Varys, telling them: "Knowledge has made you powerful, but there's still so much you don't know."
Apparently, Kinvara believes Daenarys is Azor Ahai, or the chosen one, and she has arrived in Meereen to help Tyrion and Varys convince the people they are there to help them. Melisandre, in the meantime, believed Stannis was the chosen one, and is now siding with Jon Snow.
"Game of Thrones" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EDT on HBO and Tuesdays at 10 p.m. IST on Star World Premiere HD.
