Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty

This film is a remake of Tamil flick, "Thuppakki", starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal. The AR Murugadoss directorial, which released in 2012, turned out to be a big hit. The Hindi version, also directed by AR Murugadoss, will have Akshay and Sonakshi Sinha taking up the roles played by Vijay and Kajal.

The action entertainer is expected to to be released in June 2014.


Salman Khan, who is known to have starred in several south remakes, will be seen in another remake again.

"Kick", produced and directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, is a remake of Telugu flick of the same name. The action comedy entertainer will reportedly have Jacqueline Fernandez as the female lead.

The film is slated to hit the screens on 27 July.


Akshay Kumar's "Gabbar" is an official remake of Tamil film "Ramana", which was directed by AR Murugadoss.

The Hindi version is directed by Telugu director Krish and is jointly produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. Shruti Haasan plays the female lead in the film, which also stars Sonu Sood and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles.

Main Tera Hero

"Main Tera Hero" is a remake of blockbuster Telugu flick "Kandireega".

The action-comedy entertainer, directed by David Dhawan, will have Varun Dhawan in the male lead. Ileana D'cruz and Nargis Fakhri will play the female leads in the film produced by Ekta Kapoor's production house, Balaji Motion Pictures.

The film is slated to be released on 4 April.


The film is a remake of 2011 Malayalam release of the same name. The original version received critical reviews and commercial success at the box office. It was remade in Tamil as "Chennaiyil Oru Naal" which also did well at the box office.

The Hindi version of the film, directed by Rajesh Pillai, will have Manoj Bajpayee, Divya Dutta, Jimmy Shergill, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Parambrata Chatterjee in pivotal roles.

The thriller flick is scheduled to be released on 7 March.


Arjun Kapoor's "Tevar" is a Hindi remake of the South blockbuster "Okkadu". The film has Sonakshi Sinha playing the female lead, and Manoj Bajpayee has a prominent role.

The action entertainer is directed by Amit Sharma.

Soodhu Kavvum Remake

Rohit Shetty of "Chennai Express" fame is all set to make a remake of the critically-acclaimed Tamil film "Soodhu Kavvum".

The black comedy thriller flick, which is about four misfit kidnappers, will have Imran Khan in the lead role.

Pizza Remake

Director Bijoy Nambiar will reportedly produce the remake of Tamil film "Pizza" in Hindi.

The horror flick, directed by debutant Karthik Subbaraj, was a hit in south India.

Parvathy Omanakuttan, who became the first runner-up at Miss World 2008, will play the female lead in the Hindi version.
