"Ozhivudivasathe Kali" and "Lens" are set to be released at the Kerala box office on Friday, June 17. Unlike many other low-budget movies, the audience are already familiar with these flicks as they garnered tremendous support from celebrities.

Sanal Kumar Sashidharan's "Ozhivudivasathe Kali" (An Off-Day Game) initially made headlines when it bagged the Kerala State Best Film Award 2015. The movie, based on Unni R's short story with the same name, is being distributed in Kerala by filmmaker Aashiq Abu. Celebrities, including megastar Mammootty, Dulquer Salmaan, Nivin Pauly, Murali Gopy, Aju Varghese, Fahadh Faasil and actress Anumol, have also come forward supporting the film and asking the movie-goers to watch it in theatres.

Meanwhile, debutant Jayaprakash Radhakrishnan's movie "Lens" has also been garnering positive response from the audience and celebs after its trailer was released on June 4. The movie is being distributed in Kerala by director Lal Jose under his production banner LJ Films Pvt. Ltd. The film, starring Jayaprakash in the lead role, has already won many accolades in a few International Film Festivals.

Filmmakers Vineeth Sreenivasan, Rohini, Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, Jayendra Panchapakesan, Balaji Tharaneetharan and Thiagarajan Kumararaja, who have already watched "Lens," lauded the makers for delivering a positive and relevant message to the audience. Actress Rohini praised the movie's interesting narrative and called it the best directorial venture of a debutant. "It's relevant, it's gritty, it's honest and it haunts. I hope many people take the effort to watch this film [sic]," Vineeth wrote on his Facebook page after watching the movie.
