Day 3 of French Open 2015 saw the tournament favorites sailing into the second Round with ease. Day 4 has a lot of action in store for tennis fans, as Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, Simona Halep and others take court at Roland Garros.

Federer, who is seeded second, will take on the unseeded Marcel Granollers from Spain in the 2nd Round of the French Open. The classy Swiss defeated Colombia's Alejandro Falla in straight sets 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 to cruise into the second round. Federer will now be eyeing a place in the 3rd round on Wednesday.

In women's singles, No.2 seed Maria Sharapova too will be seen in action, against the unseeded Vitalia Diatchenko from Russia. Sharapova had no problem whatsoever in her first round match and registered an easy victory.

Third seed Simona Halep struggled in her 7-5, 6-4 win over Russian Evegenia Rodina in the first round. Halep wil be taking on unseeded Mirjana Lucic-Baroni from Croatia on Wednesday in her 2nd Round clash.

Japanese Kei Nishikori, No.5 seed, looked in great touch during his first round match with Frenchman Paul-Henri Mathieu. Nishikori defeated Mathieu in straight sets 6-3, 7-5, 6-1 to cruise into the second round. Nishikori will have to play the unseeded Brazilian Thomaz Bellucci in the second round on Wednesday.

Day 3 saw the likes of David Ferrer, Caroline Wozniacki and Marin Cilic ease into the next round. "King of Clay" Rafael Nadal too looked sharp as he defeated Quentin Halys in straight sets 6–3, 6–3, 6–4.

The only major upset that Roland Garros saw on Tuesday was in the women's singles, when 6th seed Eugenie Bouchard was knocked out by unseeded Kristina Mladenovic 6–4, 6–4. Mladenovic also shocked Li Na in the first round of the  French Open last year.
