Some actors take years to become famous, while others become famous virtually overnight. Indian actress Freida Pinto is definitely in the latter group. The "Slumdog Millionaire" actress needed just that one film to beome internationally renowned. According to reports, she is now the highest-paid Indian actress.
A former television anchor, Pinto made her film debut in the Danny Boyle-directed "Slumdog Millionaire." Pinto received accolades for her performance. She has acted in four Hollywood films during the past three years, and she has two other movies ready to hit screens.
Recently, she signed an endorsement contract with an international high-end fashion apparel brand -- a two-year deal worth $3.5 million each year. Surprisingly, she has yet to act in a Bollywood production.
