The former cast of longest running Hindi fiction show "Balika Vadhu," recently took some time off their respective work commitments for a small reunion. Avika Gor and Avinash Mukherjee, who played the role of young Anandi and Jagya respectively, Toral Rasputra, Shashank Vyas, Anoop Soni, Smita Bansal, Surekha Sikri, Roop Durgapal and others had a great time together.

"It was great meeting all of them after so long. We had great fun together and Balika Vadhu will always keep us connected," Toral told India Forums.

Avinash shared a group picture of the team on his Instagram page and captioned it, "There are people in this picture who have made me what I am today. I cannot talk about Balika Vadhu only cause my words won't justify my feelings."

Smita also shared a picture with Avika and Toral and captioned it, "With #anandi and #anandi .. miss the third .. #lifegoeson." Smita missed Pratyusha Banerjee, who allegedly committed suicide at her apartment on April 1 this year. Pratyusha had played the role of Anandi for a long time.

"Balika Vadhu," which was launched in July 2008 by Sphere Origins, will air its last episode on July 31. The show gained immense popularity among viewers with its unique concept of child marriage and brilliant performances by the cast. Over the years, the family drama with a social message has highlighted various issues, such as adult education, adoption and widow remarriage.

Actors like Avika, Pratyusha, Shashank, Toral and Sidharth gained recognition in the industry with their excellent performances on the show. The show has set a national record by getting featured in the Limca Book of Records as the longest running daily fiction soap. Over 2,000 episodes of the show have been telecast so far.
