American carmaker Ford launched the new Figo and the compact sedan sibling, the Aspire, last year. Despite being the only hatchback that offers six airbags in less than 9 lakh price point, the sales of Figo didn't live up to the expectations. For the Aspire, too, sales are not in top gear. Ford India is reportedly working on adding more features to the hatchback.

The updates will include push start and stop button, reverse parking camera and even satellite navigation, MotorOctane reported. The touch screen system is most in demand since it is now even offered in entry-level hatchbacks such as the Renault Kwid.

An Autocar report suggests an advanced touch screen system is being prepared by Ford and it will debut with the Figo and Aspire facelifts expected in 2018. Along with the new screen, the dashboard will be updated in the facelift. The purported advanced touch screen will be introduced in other new models from the company in the future.

The Figo and the Aspire is sold in three engine options — 1.2-litre petrol, 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. The 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol motor develops 88PS and 112 Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre petrol engine generates 112PS and 136Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre diesel mill can churn out 100 PS and 215 Nm of torque.
