Tiger Shroff's "A Flying Jatt" hasn't been performing the way it was expected to. Despite releasing on a partial holiday (Krishna Janmasthami), the superhero film failed to register impressive numbers.

"A Flying Jatt" has collected Rs. 2 crore on the first Tuesday at the domestic box office, taking its six-day total to Rs. 31.5 crore. In the international circuits, the Remo D'Souza directorial is said to have earned Rs. 4 crore in its four-day opening weekend.

With "Rustom" holding strong at the ticket-window and Sonakshi Sinha's "Akira" arriving in theatres on Sept. 2, it is unlikely that "A Flying Jatt" will touch the Rs. 50 mark at the domestic box office anytime soon. This also means, that the Tiger-Jacqueline Fernandez starrer may not be able to beat the lifetime box office collection of Hrithik Roshan's "Mohenjo Daro" — Rs. 57.42 crore.

The Remo D'Souza directorial raked in Rs. 7.1 crore on day one at the Indian box office. The numbers dipped on Friday (Rs. 6 crore), but saw a good jump on Saturday and Sunday, on which it collected 7.35 crore and 9 crore, respectively, taking its opening weekend collection to Rs. 29.45 crore.

However, like trade analyst Taran Adarsh pointed out, the spike in numbers over the weekend was good but not great and that "A Flying Jatt" will have to post bigger numbers in order to stay strong at the box office.

Lukewarm reviews by the critics, who have called "A Flying Jatt" a stretched and preachy environmental science lesson, has affected the box office performance of the superhero film. Also, negative word-of-mouth further impacted "A Flying Jatt."

Released in 2,500-2,600 screens, "A Flying Jatt" has already broken even. Made on a modest budget of Rs. 40 crore, it has made Rs. 20 crore by selling the satellite rights.
