Puri, Oct 20 (ANI): Floods triggered by cyclone Phailin, which has left a wave of disaster in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, left hundreds of villagers stranded in eastern Puri district, forcing them to take shelter in rescue homes. At least 15 people have died in this fury of nature. On the sixth day of the floods, the embankment of River Malaguni broke due to the force of the flood waters and many villages in Odisha were marooned. Though the water has started receding but around 50,000 affected villagers have nowhere to go as their houses were washed away with the floods.
