After visuals of fish swimming in the waterlogged ICU of a government hospital in Patna went viral on social media, people on Twitter began mercilessly trolling Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar. Netizens pointed out at the pathetic infrastructure and the health services in his state.
The news of rainwater flooding the Nalanda Medical College and Hospital comes at a time when the CM is being criticised by the opposition party over cases of corruption and negligence. A shelter home in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district has also come under scrutiny following reports of rapes at the institution.

The news about the flooded hospital made headlines on Sunday (July 29). Bihar has experienced incessant rainfall in the past few days as a result of which, water entered the hospital. The facility is spread over 100 acres and has around 750 beds.
Reports claimed that the doctors had to wade through knee-deep water to attend the patients and vital machines had been switched off to avoid any casualty due to electrocution. Family members and relatives of the patients were also seen huddling on cots along with the ailing person as the wards and corridors were flooded with dirty water.
The woeful condition of the second-largest government hospital in Patna has not gone down well with many especially the opposition party.
RJD's Tejashwi Yadav, who had earlier slammed Nitish Kumar over the alleged sexual assault of girls at the Muzaffarpur shelter home, has once again taken to Twitter to criticise the CM.
"Nitish Kumar's model of development. ICU of NMCH is swimming in drain water, fishes seen in ICU. Mind you, you can't question Nitish Kumar as his conscience is fast asleep and snoring with BJP," the ex. deputy chief minister tweeted.
