Creo had assured at the launch of the Mark 1 smartphone that it will introduce new features to the device through over-the-air updates every month, and it has done just that. The device, which runs Fuel OS based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, has received a few features through updates.

The Bangalore-based company unveiled the Creo Mark 1 on April 13, and it was put up on sale a week later at Rs. 19,999. The company promised at the time of launch that new features will be seeded to the device every month through updates on Fuel OS.

The company has now released new features like Selfie Flash, Data Manager and Enhance to the Creo Mark 1 devices. The new update has also upgraded exiting Sense search and Echo (inbuilt voice-call recorder) features to enhance performance.

Selfie Flash is a feature that lets the users know whether a picture has been successfully taken or not. Display of the device lights up for a split second while taking selfies, but users can disable the feature by turning it off.

The new software update embeds the Data Manager into Settings. This helps users manage data access to various apps in the device and thus avoid unnecessary data consumption. The last feature, Enhance, is a photo-editor. It offers users a quick photo editing option.

The Creo Mark 1 has a metal body made of a high-grade aluminium and magnesium alloy with 2.5D glass shield. It sports a 5.5-inch QHD screen with 2,560x1,440p (534 ppi pixel density), measures 155.4×76.1×8.7 mm in dimension and weighs 190 g.

It houses a 21MP Sony IMX230 main camera with f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and PDAF, and an 8MP front-snapper with 86-degree field of view and 3D selfie feature.
