New Delhi, Aug 15 (ANI): Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu hails the first budget session 2014 of Modi-led NDA government, which concluded on Thursday, as satisfactory. The budget session 2014 ran over the span of 27 days with 167 working hours in lower house and 142 working hours in the upper house of the parliament. Naidu said the session has been satisfactory adding, various national and international issues were discussed.He also said that the prime issues discussed during the session were, price rise, implementation of MNREGA, threat of drought in various parts of the country, problems with UPSC-CSAT examination, reorganization of Andhra Pradesh Polavaram project, atrocities against women, Gaza issue, efforts made by Indian government to safely get back Indian nationals stranded in Iraq, encephalitis, sugarcane farmers issue, and Kashmiri pundits’ issues. Meanwhile, Naidu was quite appreciative of passing of Judges’ appointment bill adding, the entire parliament spoke in a single voice.
