The 61st Britannia Filmfare Awards, held on 15 January, 2016, will be telecast on Sony Entertainment Television on Sunday, 7 February. The viewers will witness some splendid performances of their favourite stars on the show.

The grand event was held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium in Mumbai and was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and Kapil Sharma. Filmfare Awards 2016 witnessed some flamboyant performances by Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jacqueline Fernandez, Kriti Sanon and several other stars.

While Salman rocked the stage, dancing to the tunes of his latest blockbusters, Shah Rukh and Alia made a spoof of singers Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke, which was a good entertainment for the audience. SRK also enthralled everyone present at the event with his witty style of hosting and Kapil Sharma, as always, made everyone laugh with his spontaneous humour.

However, the biggest star of the Filmfare Awards this year was Ranveer Singh. Honoured with the Best Actor award for his movie "Bajirao Mastani," Ranveer also grabbed the attention of the audience with his energy on stage. Apart from the performances, there were a number of interesting moments that should not be missed.

Deepika Padukone, after receiving the Best Actress award for "Piku," was left teary-eyed as she narrated a letter that was given to her by her father some years ago. There were also a number of PDA moments between Ranveer and his rumoured girlfriend Deepika. With so much happening on the stage of Filmfare Awards 2016 and it being aired on Sunday, there is no reason that one should miss the show.

While the full event will be telecast on Sony Entertainment Television from 7 pm onwards, those who do not want to see it on the Tv, can watch the show online. The viewers can catch the main highlights and performances of Filmfare Awards 2016 on social media as well.
