The second instalment of the Fifty Shades trilogy has already started making headlines with E.L. James' husband Niall Leonard writing the script for it. And now the movie's Twitter page has obliged fans with the first still from "Fifty Shades Darker".

Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey dons a black eye mask in the picture, probably getting ready to attend the family charity masquerade ball.

The billionaire heartthrob pairs his black mask with a black tux. This still was shared on twitter as a part of the promotion for the Blu-ray DVD release of "Fifty Shades of Grey", which will be out on 8 May.

The CD pack will also feature more than two hours of bonus content, including an Unrated Edition of the film, Alternate Ending and Exclusive Teaser of "Fifty Shades Darker."

On Thursday, Universal studios had announced that the sequel to the box-office blockbuster of 2015, will hit theatres on 10 February, 2017 and that will be followed by the third film in the series, "Fifty Shades Freed" on 9 February, 2018.

Alongside Dornan, Dakota Johnson will return as Anastasia Steele.

But director Sam Taylor-Johnson has declined the offer to direct the second part saying that she has lost all her motivation this time. "I'm flattered they wanted me to continue. But it was a monumental job - that was enough for me," she explained.

But she did not want to discourage anyone else. Instead she passed on her best wishes to her successor."I couldn't really have ever expected [such a big reaction] after working in a small, dark room for almost a year editing. I wish them all the luck in the world," she told BANG Showbiz.
