Cristiano Ronaldo, 32, just cannot seem to slow down, and the Real Madrid star guided his team to their second Champions League title in as many years. The Portuguese captain scored two goals in a 4-1 win over Juventus and also won the La Liga last month.

Ronaldo took his career goal tally to 600 with these two goals in the Champions League final, and the four-time Ballon d'Or winner is expected to win his fifth later this year. There is no doubt in anyone's mind that Ronaldo has had an exceptional season. To make it even better, FIFA just announced that the Real Madrid star is set to be the global cover star of FIFA 18.

This marks the first time Ronaldo will grace the FIFA cover. The Real Madrid forward, however, was on the cover of rival game Pro Evolution Soccer.

Aaron McHardy, who is the senior producer, said Ronaldo's passion, energy and global fanbase make him the perfect ambassador for FIFA 18.

"The world's best player has helped fuel the biggest leap forward on the pitch that we've ever delivered. We are extremely excited to partner with Cristiano — working with him we learned a lot about his unique play style and what makes him so special. His passion, energy and global fanbase make him the perfect ambassador for FIFA 18," ESPN quoted McHardy as saying.

Ronaldo took over from Marco Reus, who was on the cover last year, and finally dethroned his rival Lionel Messi, who was on the cover of FIFA from 2013 to 2016. The Portuguese said: "It is a real pleasure to be on the cover of FIFA 18. It's a great feeling and I am grateful to have been chosen."

FIFA 18 is set for a worldwide release on September 29 and you can watch the trailer featuring Cristiano Ronaldo right here.
