Italian auto maker Fiat did not launch any new model in India in the first quarter of 2015, but now it appears that the company is set to introduce its new Abarth 595 Competizione soon.
The company has started teasing Abarth 595 Competizione on its website with the tagline 'Coming soon'. Auto lovers in India have been waiting for this model for quite some time now. Although the teaser images do not reveal the launch date, the latest buzz on the Internet is that the Abarth 595 Competizione could hit dealer showrooms by July.
For those who may not be familiar with the Abarth 595 Competizione, the model is slightly different from the Abarth 500, and comes with 1.4-litre T-Jet motor under the hood that can churn out 158 bhp of power and 230 Nm torque.
In India, the Fiat model is expected to be launched with either 5- speed manual transmission or AMT gearbox. The Abarth 595 Competizione's features include 17-inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors and roof spoilers. The model is also expected to include safety features like Antilock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and airbags.
In India, Abarth 595 Competizione is expected to be priced at around ₹25 lakh.
