New spy shots of Fiat's Punto Evo Abarth and Avventura Abarth have surfaced on the web, consolidating previous rumours that Fiat's performance brand Abarth would begin the Indian journey in August this year.
It was recently reported that Fiat Abarth will make its market entry in August with its three models - Abarth 595, Punto Evo Abarth and Avventura Abarth. Now the folks at Team BHP have managed to snap Punto Evo Abarth and Avventura Abarth, while undergoing tests in the country.
Punto Evo Abarth, the much-powerful version of Punto Evo, is expected to be powered by 1.4-litre T-JET turbocharged petrol engine that can churn out 135PS power at 6,000rpm and 206Nm torque at 1,750rpm. The same engine will also be found in Avventura Abarth.
The engine will come mated to a 5-speed gearbox and is likely to clock 0-100kmph in eight seconds. In the images, Punto Evo is likely to get T-Jet badge on the boot lid and there seems to be also new graphics on the side profiles of the model. Punto Evo Abarth is likely to be priced at around ₹10 lakh.
Coming to the Avventura Abarth, the model is likely to be almost the same as the current Avventura with minor visual modifications.
