After the backlash over the Gurugram man's Rs 370 biryani remark, netizens have now dug out another clip from comedian Pranit More's crowd-work show, this time featuring a doctor, Sejal Pawar, making crass remarks about the private parts of male cadavers.

The controversy has sparked a wider debate online, with many users drawing parallels to the recent biryani incident. Critics argue that while the earlier remark led to public condemnation, apologies and widespread scrutiny, similar standards should apply irrespective of whether the speaker is male or female. Others have stressed that both incidents involve insensitive comments and should be judged on conduct rather than gender.

During the show, Pranit More initiated a discussion by asking whether doctors maintain a serious atmosphere during post-mortems or if light-hearted moments emerge in such environments. Responding to the question, Sejal Pawar recounted interactions involving cadavers used in medical education, stating that she and her colleagues occasionally joked about the physical characteristics of male cadavers.

The clip quickly went viral, triggering strong reactions online.

One user wrote, "There are certain things in life that should never be mocked, and a cadaver is one of them. A family donates the body of their loved one so that future doctors can learn and serve society better. That is an extraordinary act of trust and generosity. If such noble people stop donating their bodies because of this kind of behavior, medical education itself will suffer."

Another user commented, "As a medical student, mocking a cadaver is one of the worst things you can do."

A doctor reacting to the video on X wrote, "That's the most disgusting behaviour. The very first lesson imparted to first-year medical students in the dissection hall is to respect the cadavers, for they are our first practical textbooks."

Amid mounting criticism, Sejal Pawar issued a public apology through Instagram. In her statement, she wrote, "I'm not here to justify what was said or explain it away. I take responsibility for it. Looking back, I can see how my words could be interpreted differently from what I meant."

Shortly after posting the statement, Sejal Pawar switched her Instagram account to private. Her bio states that she is currently posted at KEM Hospital in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, comedian Pranit More has also reportedly deactivated his Instagram account as the controversy continues to generate debate across social media.
