A still from 'Fast & Furious 7'.

Last time when Vin Diesel was at Jimmy Kimmel Live, he spoke about taking the "Fast and Furious" franchise to a new location. And now, the actor's Instagram post confirms — New York it is.

On the show, Diesel spoke not just about insane stunts and his undying love for Paul Walker, but also gave fans a sneak peek into the future installment — "Fast & Furious 8".

Though we don't much about the storyline, the franchise's main lead Vin Diesel dropped two major clues about the plot. He hinted that Kurt Russell's "Fast & Furious 7" character Mr. Nobody will return to play a larger role and indicated that the action will take place in New York.

While continuing to roll out the latest on "Fast & Furious 8", Diesel, through his Instagram post, confirmed what he said earlier.

From London to Rio de Janeiro to Tokyo, Dom and his gang have visited some of the most exotic locations over the course of the first seven movies. But never have they ever been to the Big Apple.

Now it looks like the gang is indeed headed to Manhattan in 2017 and will be seen racing across the concrete jungle of New York City.

As part of #TorettoTuesday, Vin Diesel posted a graphic, which is more like a shot of New York City. Though he hasn't captioned the photo, it clearly sends out a message to fans that this is the location of the next installment.

According to Cinema Blend, the photo confirms what the actor had told Jimmy. After analysing the graphic, the website reported some major NYC landmarks such as Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building were missing.

"But that's undoubtedly the Brooklyn Bridge in the foreground, so the photo confirms what Diesel told Jimmy Kimmel during a recent spot on his late-night talk show," the report said.

Now, we have to wait and watch what's next in store for "Fast & Furious 8" which will be released on 14 April, 2017.
