Actor-producer Farhan Akhtar has recorded a duet song with Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra for her sister Zoya Akhtar's upcoming film "Dil Dhadakne Do".

The duo has sung a "smoldering smoky love ballad steeped in nostalgia and longing", according to IANS.

Farhan had earlier lent his voice for the films "Rock On", "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara" and "Shaadi Ke Side Effects".

Meanwhile, Priyanka, who had amazed her fans with her debut single "In My City", was not earlier permitted to sing for Bollywood films, due to her contract with the International recording label.

The upcoming multi-starrer has Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Anushka Sharma, Shefali Shah and a dog in the main roles. The film is set to hit the screens on 5 June, 2015.

"Dil Dhadakne Do" is about a dysfunctional Punjabi family on a cruise trip. In the course of their vacation, they discover love and friendship.

Among leading ladies turning singers for their movies are: Alia Bhatt, who sang for "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" and "Highway" and Shraddha Kapoor, who lent her voice to a song in "Ek Villain".
