The car, as can be seen, retains the same design language of the current gen Innova, however the new taillight configuration and body panels make it look aggressive and cooler than the current model. The upcoming new generation Innova is expected to reach the domestic market in the year 2016, but it looks like the company has already began testing the car on public roads.

While the new gen Innova was camouflaged, completely hiding the characters of the vehicle the new headlights, new rear lights and new grille were clear indications of the updates received by the 2016 Innova. The new Innova will be based on Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) and will also receive mechanical updates. For now we do not have any information on the engine specifications of the new Innova, but rumours are rife that the new Innova is also likely to get power from a new Toyota diesel engine coupled to an automatic transmission.

Interestingly, it is not just the exterior of the Innova getting updates; the interior of the car will also be receiving significant revisions. When launched Toyota's new Innova will rival the Honda Mobilio, Chevrolet Enjoy and Nissan Evalia.
