Comic Con India celebrated the 75th birthday of Batman in Bengaluru on 23 July complete with quizzes, Batman-themed drinks, memorabilia and of course cosplay. However, seeing as it was a celebration of the hero, there were far too many fans dressed as his nemeses.

"I generally stick to dressing up as the Grimm Reaper in cosplay events. But this time round, I decided to be the Riddler, one of the most brilliant super-villains," says Vikram Sarangan, an avid fan of the comic book universe. This is the first time he got the luxury of attending an event that is close to home. Held at Vapour pub in Indira Nagar, the Batman celebration could possibly be one of very few comic con events to be convened in the city.

In fact, Chetan Amfire, one of the organisers of Comic Con's Bangalore events, says that as usual, the actual Comic Con will still be held at White Orchid Convention Centre or somewhere away from the noises of the city.

Looking at the number of fans who attended the "mini event", one can only imagine the turnout at the main event. With great music, passionate fans, trivia games and amusing drinks like the joker, boy wonder, poison ivy and so on, it was definitely a night worth remembering for avid fans; especially for students like Chirag Shukla and Akash Sheery, who were there for one last hurrah before saying good- bye to Bangalore.

Here is a clip from the celebration night at Vapour, where all the Batman villains including Harley Quinn, Bane, Riddler, Two-Face, Poison Ivy and others were lined up for interrogation.
