Buzz is that ex-lovers Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will clash at the box office next year in Diwali, but trade analysts suggest something else.

According to reports, Salman's much-awaited film "Sultan" release date has been postponed from Eid 2016 to Diwali 2016. The makers of "Sultan", announced Eid 2016 as the release date and on the other hand, makers of "Raees" announced that the film would release on the same day. But several reports suggested that "Sultan" release date has been changed to give Shah Rukh Khan's "Raees" a solo box office run.

The new release date of "Sultan" is said to be Diwali 2016, which is also the release date of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil". Aishwarya Rai's film is directed by Karan Johar and features Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor. If "Sultan" release date has indeed been changed to Diwali, then it will not only be Salman vs Aishwarya, but also Salman vs Ranbir at the box office, according to DNA.

However, trade analysts have said that "Sultan" release date has not been changed, and the film will hit screens on Eid 2016 as reported earlier. Shah Rukh's "Raees" and Salman's "Sultan" will clash at the box office in 2016, trade analysts say.

"No, #Sultan is NOT postponed to Diwali 2016. Confirmed for Eid 2016. Which means, #Sultan [Salman Khan] versus #Raees [SRK] clash is on!" trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on Twitter.

"Sultan" and "Raees" clash will be one of the biggest clashes at the box office as both the movies feature Salman and Shah Rukh, respectively. Salman and Shah Rukh, who became friends again, will be opposite each other at the box office next year.
