Publisher, 2K Games' new sci-fi FPS video game, Evolve, which was announced on 14 January via Game Informer Magazine's February issue, is now available for pre-ordering, according to the post on its official website. Apart from this, contents of its downloadable content (DLC) have also been detailed.

Evolve is a being developed by Turtle Rock Studios, who also created cooperative shooter classic Left 4 Dead. In its post, the company says that the game blends both cooperative and competitive multiplayer experiences, where there will be four hunters who will battle against a single monster, controlled by the player (4V1 matches). The game will not only be set in an alien land, but also takes place in the future. A single player who controls the monster will be playing in third-person perspective. The post also explaines that this gaming experience is unique to Evolve.

"Our philosophy is to build incredibly fun game experiences that we can't find anywhere else. Evolve's co-op vs. lone wolf formula has created some of the most intense multiplayer matches we've ever experienced," said Chris Ashton, co-founder and design director at Turtle Rock Studios.

One of the first monsters detailed was Goliath, who will be fighting off four hunters with unique classes and abilities. There will be multiple monsters in the game and each monster will have unique abilities.

The game is also up for pre-ordering and customers who order it now will be given Monster Expansion Pack that is inclusive of the Savage Goliath skin and a new monster character. Both will be available after Evolve's release. Further the company also released the Box Art of the game.

Evolve was under production at THQ, which went bankrupt later and its publishing rights were brought by 2K Games. This game will be a available in 2014 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
