Enner Valencia: Ecuador footballer chased by police during World Cup qualifying match
Ecuador and Everton footballer Enner Valencia allegedly faked an injury to avoid being questioned by the police over alimony payments to his ex-wife. He was substituted in the 82nd minute of Ecuadors 3-0 win over Chile, reportedly from heat exhaustion, and was chased by police as he was being transported to an ambulance. Valencia’s agent Gonzalo Vargas later suggested the case against Valencia had been resolved.
