Swansea players celebrate a goal against Valencia in their Europa League game at the Mestalla, September 19Reuters

Swansea better get used to playing on Sunday in the English Premier League, because if their Europa League performance against Valencia is anything to go by, they are going to be in Europe for a little while yet.

The Welsh side travel to newly-promoted Crystal Palace on Sunday, hoping to carry on from their win over Valencia and begin their climb up the table in the Premier League.

Swansea's Premier League form has been a little underwhelming this season, although there have been signs of improvement in the last couple of matches.

Michael Laudrup will be wary of the pitfalls of playing on a Thursday and then a Sunday, but will expect to come away with all three points against Ian Holloway's men.

"Valencia, unfortunately, is gone for me," Laudrup said. "I say unfortunately because you want to enjoy it a little more, but I can't because we are focussed on Crystal Palace.

"We are back in Premier League action, and we face a new side to the division who know they need to get a lot of their points at home.

"I expect them to be a physical side, and they will try to take advantage of any possible tiredness from us. So they will be looking to keep the tempo up.

"They have done well so far. They already have a win on the board, which is very important. It will be a tough test up there for us."

Palace have played better than their three points from four matches suggest, and Holloway, having once been relegated with Blackpool, will be keen to avoid the drop this time. There is no better time to face a team than right after their European travails and Palace will be keen to take advantage.

"I would like us to make it such a bad place for anyone to come to, so intimidating on the referee that he has got to give us something -- if there is any margin of doubt it has got to go our way as he's scared of our fans and me," said Holloway, who was given a two-match suspension for questioning the referees.

"I want our fans to go absolutely mental in the future. If one of us trips over or falls over I want them baying at the referees until the blokes hackles come up on the back of his neck -- that might get us something.

"But I don't want my players to fall over and dive because that is disrespectful to the opposition. Surely it should not be win at all costs. I think we can get enough away points and I want to make it a scary place at home -- a fortress."

Team News: Holloway has plenty of injury worries, while Kagisho Dikgacoi is suspended after picking up red card against Manchester United last weekend. Palace are also missing Joel Ward (calf), who joins long-term absentees Jonny Williams, Jack Hunt (both ankle), Glenn Murray (knee) and Paddy McCarthy (groin).

Laudrup might have to do without skipper Ashley Williams and Jose Canas, while Pablo Hernandez and Neil Taylor are ruled out.
