Hakeem could have some serious competition from his elder brother Andre when Empire returns on Fox Network with the fourth episode of season 3 on Wednesday, October 12, at 9 pm EST. The sequel is titled Cupid Kills.
The official synopsis reads: Things heat up between Cookie and Angelo, so Lucious finally recognises Angelo as a formidable rival and prepares to take him on. Meanwhile, Jamal is finally able to face Freda Gatz, a big first step on his journey to recovery. Also, Anika goes back to work at Empire and instantly causes turmoil, while Hakeem starts falling for Nessa, even though she might be into a different Lyon.

Executive producer Sanaa Hamri revealed that the female lead's relationship with Taye Diggs' character will have a long way to go. According to him, she does not want to jump into it and her past keeps reminding her all the pains and heartbreaks in her life.
"Angelo has a lot to prove. He has to really gain Cookie's trust and it's going to take a long time and we'll see if he's able to hang in there," Hamri told ET online.
Meanwhile, the eldest son of the hip hop mogul is likely to find a new new love interest. If the short description of episode 4 has to be considered, it could be Nessa. The Moroccan American film director has already teased a huge storyline for his character that will dig deeper into his insights.
"Now he's dealing with being traumatised from her death and we're introducing all these new characters and it's a lot for him to take. We're going to see which side he's going to take. Is he going to take the darkness or the light?" said Hamri.

Meanwhile, the title and the official synopsis of Empire season 3 episode 5 is yet to be released. But speculations suggest that the sequel is titled One Before Another and it will focus on Cookie-Lucious-Angelo relationship.
