Embattled business tycoon Vijay Mallya is known for living a luxurious life. From shelling out millions on Kingfisher calendar girls to buying sports teams in the Indian Premier League and Formula one, Mallya has done it all.

He has also splurged money on buying rare things like Mahatma Gandhi's glasses and Tipu Sultan's sword. If you think the King of 'Good Times', who is struggling to pay back his bank loans, is having a tough life in London, you are mistaken.

Albeit incurring heavy losses in his business ventures, Mallya reportedly owns a gold toilet in his London mansion.

According to an Economic Times report, author James Crabtree claimed that when he went to visit Mallya's place in London, he noticed a toilet made of gold.

Speaking about his meeting with Mallya, the author added that when he visited Mallya, he seemed a bit upset as he could not attend the Monaco Grand Prix. James said, ''He was contemplating the fact that he wasn't going to fly out to Monaco but instead had to go to his other mansion and watch it on television like everyone else.''

After having three drinks of whiskey, James went to the washroom and saw the toilet made of gold. "Here I discovered this vision in shimmering gold. A gold toilet with a golden rim and gold on top. Sadly there was no golden toilet paper. But it did have monogrammed fluffy white towels" he said.

It is to be noted that the fugitive businessman is running away from the Indian investigative agencies for bank fraud where he syphoned off Rs 6,027 crore loan that he took from a consortium of 17 banks.
