Gumla, Nov 24 (ANI): Election officials left for polling booths in the Maoist affected districts of Jharkhand via helicopters on Monday to prevent any untoward incidents ahead of polls that start Tuesday. Indian security forces had launched a massive anti-Maoist operation on November 11 to prevent any problem in the election process. District Election Officer, Gauri Shankar Mij said all necessary precautions are being taken in the Maoist affected districts for the polls. Maoists have called for boycott of the five-phased polls in Jharkhand that begin from November 25 and end on December 20. The results would be announced on December 23. An election booth officer who was sent via helicopter to a polling station, Arun Tripathi said their wish was to see high turnout in the polls.
