Ekta Kapoor's Ragini MMS 2.2 web series with Riya Sen to include a lot of steamy scenes

After going bold with the Ragini MMS series, Ekta Kapoor is all set to take the franchise to the digital world in the form of a web series. The producer will present a mixture of sex and horror in the web series tentatively titled Ragini MMS 2.2.

Riya Sen has apparently been signed up for the lead role, which was originally played by Sunny Leone in the film.

Ragini MMS 2.2 will be streamed on the new digital app, ALTBalaji, of Ekta's company, Balaji Telefilms. Many steamy scenes are expected to be included in the web series as the digital platform allows more creative freedom to makers. Talking about the same, Ekta told SpotboyE: "TV is fine, but it's so messy that you can't take every story to the drawing rooms. On a digital platform however, you can say whatever you want to say."

Meanwhile, ALTBalaji's Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat, starring Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar, has been garnering a rave response from the audience.

Another web series, The Test Case, stars Bollywood actress Nimrat Kaur in the lead role and is centred around the Indian Army. Ekta's third web series, Bewafaa Sii Wafaa, features Dipannita Sharma in a bold and intense role opposite Sameer Soni.

Rithvik Dhanjani, who is one of the popular faces of Indian television industry, is also set to play the lead role in a new web series by ALTBalaji. It is a comedy show set in the backdrop of a big fat Indian wedding. The web series will revolve around a crazy bachelors' trip that goes horribly wrong.
