Some of the biggest video game announcements and major press conferences have finally come to an end at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo aka E3 2017. EA, Ubisoft, Bethesda, Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo have battled it out to showcase their best wares to the gaming community.

Here's a quick look at the most popular titles from the likes of biggest game publishers in the market:

Assassin's Creed: Origins

Ubisoft

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Origins will be a prequel to Assassin's Creed Syndicate with its game world set in ancient Egypt. The game is reportedly optimised to run at 4K resolution with highest graphic details and uninhibited frame-rate performance on the newly launched Microsoft Xbox One X.

Moving away from the traditional mini-map and towers approach, the latest Assassin's Creed title will introduce an eagle to scout and tag enemies.

The game's protagonist Bayek will be seen raiding Egyptian tombs and performing underwater swimming, among other skill-building activities, in his quest to accomplish the key mission objectives in the game.

Need for Speed: Payback

Avid fans of Need for Speed franchise will be treated to a predominantly Fast and Furious vibe along with GTA-style combat in EA Games' latest title 'NFS: Payback'. Players will also enjoy the privilege of switching between three main character roles akin to GTA 5.

It is unclear if each of these three characters has special perks and skillsets as in the case of GTA 5's Michael, Trevor and Franklin. Nevertheless, the racing enthusiasts and car modders will surely enjoy the highly-customisable game set in an open-world.

NFS: Payback is all set to release sometime in November 2017.

The second instalment in the Sci-Fi action franchise will be set in the world preceding the events of the original game. The storyline takes us back in time to a period when the first game's protagonist Jade has just been born.

Meanwhile, speculation is rife that the game will see an online mode, which is currently in its nascent stage of development.
