"Teen Wolf" actor Dylan O'Brien was on Thursday rushed to a hospital in Vancouver, Canada, after he was injured on the sets of 20th Century Fox's "Maze Runner: The Death Cure," according to multiple reports.

In a statement to the media, Fox did not elaborate on the actor's injuries. But it said that production will be shut down as the actor recovers.

"Dylan O'Brien was injured yesterday while filming 'Maze Runner: The Death Cure' in Vancouver, Canada," the statement read, according to Deadline. "He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment. Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery."

Deadline managed to get details regarding the actor's injuries and noted that O'Brien fell off a set that was supposed to resemble the back of a train. He supposedly fell on his face and fractured "either his cheekbone or orbital socket."

However, according to an TMZ source, the actor was filming a scene involving a car when he injured himself. According to the website, the actor has suffered multiple broken bones.

Shortly after the news broke, fans of the actor took to social media platforms such as Twitter to let him know that their prayers were with him.

"Horrific news. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for @dylanobrien - I hope you're dancing without a care soon," one fan wrote. Another added: "Scary situation with Dylan O'Brien's injury on the Maze Runner set. Hope he's okay soon."

O'Brien is best known for essaying Stiles on MTV's "Teen Wolf." The series is now on hiatus after wrapping up Season 5 that saw O'Brien's character Stiles and his friends defeating the Beast.
